I think I would like to do this, but you promise you won't leave me hanging?
This was the question from one of our newest volunteers asked to facilitate in our group ministry. People want to serve well. They want to succeed.
We need to give them the tools, and help them understand the vision of the group atmosphere we're hoping to create.
While it is a fair question, it's also a great indicator that we asked the right person. When I see the signs of a hesitant but willing leader, I get really excited!
Is confidence bad? No...but there's something about humility. When we go into new experiences, we'll need to depend on God in ways we never have.
Mark 10:27 (The Message) Jesus was blunt: "No chance at all if you think you can pull it off by yourself. Every chance in the world if you let God do it."
"At sunrise or sunset, I connect with the reality that the earth is spinning completely around in this 24 hour period of one day. I start connecting with the truth that life is short."
Yes. Absolutely. I get the urgency you feel. I feel the tension too.
Thanks for this post!
