Appointment

All of these women (and many more) had an appointment with God this weekend!

Mark Beeson talked on Friday night about being faithful with the little time we are given to lean into the vision, intention, and methods to be in God's presence. Dr. Bob talked on Saturday morning about what we will choose to store deep in our heart - lies or truth. Mark Waltz helped us experiment with some ways to connect with God's omnipresence. I spoke last night about preparing for the valleys by replacing willpower and self-sufficiency with God's overwhelming gift - the cross is sufficient.

Everything about Jesus is counterintuitive. We followed his lead to create a wonderful relaxed experience. No formal group structure. No formal group leaders. No formal discussion questions. A great experience!

They formed natural relationships of 2 or 10. They stepped up to lead and care for one another well. They followed God's nudging to lead conversation through their stories.

I was humbled and privileged to serve this weekend. I'm really proud of our women! They did good!
